instant pot honey garlic chicken
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts about 4–5 breasts
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 tbsp. water
- Sliced green onion for garnish
Instructions
Crockpot Version (from frozen)
- Place frozen chicken breasts in crockpot. Pour honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and sesame oil over the top.
- Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours. (Check for temp, should be 165°F).
- Remove chicken and shred with forks.
- Mix cornstarch with water and stir into crockpot. Return chicken, cover, and cook on HIGH 20-30 more minutes until sauce thickens.
- Serve over rice.
Instant Pot (from frozen)
- Place frozen chicken breasts in Instant Pot. Pour honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and sesame oil over the top.
- Set MANUAL – HIGH PRESSURE for 12 minutes; 10 minute natural release, then you can quick release if you like.
- Remove chicken and shred with forks.
- Mix cornstarch with water. Turn IP to SAUTE and stir slurry into mixture; cook 2-3 minutes uintil thickense. Return chicken to pot.
- Serve over rice.
